How much does orthodontic treatment cost?

We also offer flexible payment plans to help make treatment more affordable. To get started, you can arrange a remote consultation by submitting your details and photos of your teeth. How do I book an Orthodontic Consultation?

The easiest way to book a consultation with one of our Specialist Orthodontists is to call our friendly reception teams on 01962 710880 for Winchester or 01730 269099 for Petersfield.

A full consultation with one of our Specialist Orthodontists is £150 and we will ask for a £75 deposit to secure your appointment. Your initial appointment will include a clinical assessment with our specialist orthodontist, a set of photographs and an x-ray if required. Our Treatment Coordinators will talk you through all the options you are suitable for, and help you choose the right brace for you.

 

What if I need an MRI?

An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan is a safe and non-invasive way of examining soft tissues in the body. It does not use X-rays or radiation.

If you are having orthodontic treatment, it is usually safe to have an MRI scan with braces in place. The small amount of metal used in braces does not pose a risk, and most scans can be carried out without any issues.

However, if the area being scanned is the head, neck, or throat, braces can sometimes affect the quality of the images. In these cases, your Consultant may request that your braces are removed before the scan.

We would always prefer to avoid removing your braces if possible. If removal is required, we will need written confirmation from your Consultant, including details of the scan and the reason for removal.

If multiple MRI scans are needed, we may delay replacing your braces for up to 6 months. Before restarting treatment, we will also need written confirmation from your Consultant that no further scans are required.

Can I have braces if I had orthodontic treatment as a child?

Yes, you can have orthodontic treatment again as an adult, even if you had braces as a child. Teeth can move over time, and many people choose further treatment to improve alignment or maintain their smile.

At your consultation, we will assess your teeth and discuss the most suitable treatment options for you.

Is there parking for Blue Badge holders?

We have a private car park for patients at our Winchester practice. Please note that spaces are limited and are best suited to smaller vehicles. If you are a Blue Badge holder and require parking, please call our reception team on 01962 710880 before your appointment and we will do our best to arrange a space for you.

For patients visiting our Petersfield practice, we are located on the high street, where there are several council-operated parking spaces available for Blue Badge holders. As we cannot guarantee availability, we recommend allowing extra time before your appointment.
