At Contour Orthodontists we are proud to be one of the largest providers of NHS orthodontic treatment in Winchester and the surrounding area.

If eligible, the NHS currently provides fully funded orthodontic treatment for children under the age of 18 years old. An NHS assessment is offered free of charge at Contour Orthodontists following a referral from you general dentist.

WHO CAN HAVE NHS TREATMENT

Orthodontic treatment is funded by the NHS for patients under the age of 18 who have a clear health need for treatment.

Our specialist Orthodontists will asses the needs of every individual patient based upon a set of criteria laid out by the NHS, this system is called the Index of Orthodontic Need.

If you are thinking about having adult orthodontics, we are offering the parents of our existing patients a 45 minute complimentary consultation. Alternatively, we charge £125 for an initial consultation with one of our Specialist Orthodontists.

HOW TO ACCESS NHS TREATMENT

At Contour Orthodontists we welcome new NHS patients to the practice daily. To arrange an NHS new patient assessment  simply speak to your general dentist and request for a referral to be sent on your behalf.

We do our best to accommodate as many patients as possible, however spaces are limited. As soon as we receive your referral you will be contacted by a member of our friendly reception team to let you know you have been placed on our waiting list. We will then contact you in due course to book your initial assessment with one of our Specialist Orthodontists.

WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS

In the event that your child is not eligible for NHS funded treatment there are other options available. At Contour Orthodontists we pride ourselves on our range of private treatment options all tailored to suit the individual.

These range from traditional metal fixed braces to removable clear aligners. All our private treatment includes a start date to suit you, an oral hygiene home care pack, bonded retainers on both arches at the end of treatment, as well as a removable set of retainers and 2 years of aftercare once your braces come off.
